Roman architecture introduced designs, including the arch and the dome, as can be seen in the Chester’s amphitheatre.
Many of these designs can be admired in Chester’s Roman Gardens, along with a reconstruction of a hypocaust. Chester’s Roman Walls, which encompass the city, are a major tourist attraction in the area.
